Free consultations on dental implants

Dental implants from AMA Dental

If you book a basic examination, we offer a free consultation on dental implants. This is a good opportunity to get comprehensive information from a competent dentist on the topic of implants.

What does the first consultation look like?

During your first consultation on implants, we will provide you with all the necessary information about the procedure, and we will carry out a diagnostic imaging, which will allow you to assess the possibilities of treatment and exclude any contraindications for implant placement. After the examination, our specialist will discuss with you the details of the procedure, including the process, time and estimated cost. Thanks to the consultation, you will also learn about alternative treatments and find out which will be the best for you.

Frequently Asked Questions:

What is a dental implant?

A dental implant is an artificial root, resembling a small screw, mounted with a porcelain superstructure, perfectly imitating the natural crown of the tooth. Titanium, which has been used in medicine for many years and is referred to as biocompatible material, i.e. does not cause allergic reactions, is most often used to make it.

What happens during the treatment?

The procedure is performed under local anaesthesia or general anaesthesia. Implantation is performed using a neurosurgical microscope. High magnification allows for quick implant placement and prevents the need for extensive tissue incisions. The dental surgeon cuts and detaches the mucosa, and then drills the hole. The next step is to insert the implant and suture the detached mucosa.

How much does a dental implant cost?

The price of placing an implant depends on the individual and on many other factors, such as the scope of treatment and the number of teeth to be replaced. When you decide to wear dental implants, it is worth getting help from the Swedish Social Insurance Agency (Försäkringskassan), which covers a part of the treatment.

Is there a risk of complications?

To keep complications a purely theoretical matter, post-operative recommendations should be strictly followed. The most important thing is to keep the implanted area as sterile as possible. It is worth refraining from eating and drinking for several hours, and the first warm meal should only be eaten after 24 hours. Within a few days after the procedure, you should avoid physical exertion, using saunas and smoking.
